Selecting the right and approved materials onboard is mandatory. This aspect often does not get the proper attention.
Mostly, problems will start after a few years. To our experience, after around 7 years the leakages will start. It is mostly a cumbersome job to replace everything and the downtime during a leakage is always unexpected and not welcome.
Due to a rough/craquele surface of the pipe wall, the biofilm flourishes which is a potential risk for bacterial growth like Legionella.
