Onboard mega- yachts, challenges are high regarding fresh reliable drinking water. Bacteria like Legionella are dangerous in aerosol form. Aerosols have a high presence on mega yachts. Think about a huge number of showers or a Whirlpool. But don’t forget the deck wash with high pressure cleaners.

DWIAS advices about the right drinking water approved materials, water treatment and the routing of the system. It is on customers request, what kind of services we supply. We can offer advice often in combination with a Water Safety Plan. Repairs and modifications can also be done by DWIAS.  Frequently we work for the yards and customer representatives.

A smart design is highly recommended to avoid stagnant areas. Luxury yachts mostly have an extensive potable water installation, but the occupation can be minimum. In other words: not every tap is used on a weekly basis.

No question is strange to us. In the past we designed the drinking water installation for a yacht with even a cabin and shower for the dog. We managed this design without stagnant areas. Owner happy, dog happy.
